This week’s been incredibly long.
But the weekend is coming on strong.
With my kids and my wife.
It’s a pretty good life.
And I’m happy I can tag along.

As we celebrate Veteran’s Day.
Keep our soldiers in mind when you pray.
If you’re happy to be.
In the Land of the Free.
Then thank those who keep it that way.

My eight year old wants her own phone.
But I don’t think she’s far enough grown.
Til she gets her way.
Each night and all day.
She’ll continue to holler and moan.

Four minutes before my alarm.
My wife with her kindness and charm.
Hollered out “Scat!”
To scare off the cat.
Yet I did her no bodily harm.

Vacation in Wrightstown: Day 2.
Seems to leave me with nothing to do.
But my wife is the sort.
Who gives snarky retorts.
So I’ll just keep silent, thank you.

It seems when it comes to my truck
I don’t have the greatest of luck.
It’s starting to leak.
the brakes like to squeak.
It’s draining me to my last buck.
