My wife posted this picture on Facebook yesterday. Is it wrong that the first thing I thought was “Wait, what about me?”

I think we can surely agree
What my wife had failed to foresee
She said it’s her boys
That fill her with joys
But she must have forgotten ’bout me!

Ever notice how in movies and on TV that people usually sing “For He’s the Jolly Good Fellow” instead of Happy Birthday?  It’s because you have to pay royalties every time you sing it!  A ​new lawsuit could change that.

​For years if they sang on TV,
“Happy Birthday” would come with a fee.
With Warner’s new suit,
The point could be mute.
And now we can sing it for free!

According to Wikipedia: “Pączki are deep-fried pieces of dough shaped into flattened spheres and filled with confiture or other sweet filling.”

But we know they are magical miracles of cookery that only appear once a year on Fat Tuesday.  My Daily Limerick is an ode to this delectable gem.

From Poland a long time ago.
Came these wonder-filled circles of dough.
So let out a cheer!
The best day of the year!
Now let’s go stand in line in the snow!

Been 10 years since I said adieu,
To the best country fans that I knew.
It’s time to get psyched.
To be back on the mic.

Didja hear?  McDonald’s has partnered with RIF (Reading is Fundamental) and are giving out books instead of toys with their Happy Meals for a while.  They expect to give out over 50M books before they are done!

McDonald’s has done a good deed.
In encouraging kids to succeed.
Now at McD’s,
With your Double with Cheese,
They’ll be giving you something to read!

Are they creating buzz out of nothing? Word has it that Miley Cyrus allegedly called Ed Sheeran a bad name as he went to collect his VMA last night.

Last night the Queen of the Twerk.
Proved once again she’s a Jerk.
She called him an Ass,
As Sheran walked past,
To collect an award for his work.
